A 3hrs drive north of Durban takes us to Africa’s oldest game park, situated in the warm heart of Zululand.

Here you can discover some of the secrets of the bushveld from the seclusion of our safari vehicle.

6 DAYS

Day 01

Meet and greet your safari leader at King Shaka International Airport.

We travel inland to a magnificent 7000 acre private Game Reserve which is situated and hidden among the gently rolling hills of KZN.

We indulge in a late, light lunch before departing on our first game drive in an open 4×4 vehicle.

Enjoy excellent game viewing while sipping bush sundowners at sunset. On our return, a sumptuous dinner awaits us at the lodge– we overnight at the Lodge

Day 02

After an early morning game drive and a late breakfast we head further inland to explore the meandering KZN midlands.

We continue our drive north where an exclusive ‘Big 5’ private game reserve awaits us. An afternoon game drive provides opportunities to view and photograph the reserve’s fauna and flora including animals such as cheetah and the endangered African wild dog.

Bush sundowners are served at sunset as our drive extends into early evening where spot lights are used to pick out the elusive nocturnal animals.

On return an African drum announces our dinner time, a sumptuous meal served under a starlit-sky in a typical African enclosed boma – we overnight here in their luxurious safari lodge.

Day 03

A full day of game drives/bush walks and bird watching as we explore and witness a great variety of wildlife and the incredible biodiversity this magnificent and exciting 22000 acre, Private Game Reserve has to offer, ensuring an absolute rewarding experience for both photographer and wildlife enthusiast.

“Walking with the wild cheetahs is an absolute highlight” – we overnight at the lodge.

Day 04

We bid farewell after breakfast and travel into the heart of the Zulu Battlefields to explore the scene of many historic battles like Blood River and Rorke’s Drift which were fought here centuries ago. Our day of exploration and visiting some rural African villages ends in the late afternoon. We travel in a south-westerly direction and overnight at an exclusive and tranquil Mountain Lodge which is situated at the foothills of the Drakensberg’s Amphitheatre.

Day 05

After breakfast, you can enjoy a leisurely round of golf, compete with the local Kingfisher fly-fishing for a catch in a well stocked trout dam, go horse-riding, play tennis or simply relax and unwind in the tranquillity of this wonderful place “the Berg” with photographic opportunities aplenty – we overnight at the Mountain Lodge

Day 06

We enjoy breakfast and take a leisurely drive back to the East Coast city of Durban. We visit the very popular uShaka Marine World pleasure paradise, an opportunity to do last minute shopping before transferring to the airport where your safari ends.

A tour designed for those clients who have a short stay in Durban or Johannesburg, but would like to see some wildlife, including the ‘Big 5’ with African wild dog and cheetah on offer and provide unparalleled photo opportunities.
2 days and 1 night stay in the ‘Big 5′ Conservancy and we overnight here in a luxurious safari lodge.

ITINERARY

Day 01 – Meet and greet at King Shaka International Airport, transfer to a 7000 acre Private Game Reserve.

Day 02 – Full day and return to Durban where your safari ends.

Day 01

We arrive in time for a late, light lunch before we depart on our first open vehicle game drive providing excellent opportunities to view and photograph the reserve’s wide variety of game including animals such as cheetah, the endangered African wild dog.

Bush sundowners are enjoyed at sunset as our drive extends into early evening where spot lights are used to pick out the elusive nocturnal animals.

On return, an African drum announces our dinner time, a sumptuous meal served under a starlit-sky in a typical African enclosed boma where a blazing log fire creates an opportunity to relax and recall the events of the day – we overnight at their luxurious Safari Lodge.

Day 02

A full day of game drives/bush walks and bird watching as we explore and witness the incredible biodiversity this 22000 acre private reserve has to offer, ensuring an absolute rewarding experience for both photographer and wildlife enthusiast.
